From 23 April to 30 April 2026, Zavod Krog participated as a partner organization in the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project “Rewear. Reconnect. Rebuild” in Oščadnica, Slovakia. The project brought together youth workers from different countries to explore topics connected to sustainable living, slow fashion, upcycling, and environmental responsibility.
Throughout the mobility, participants took part in interactive workshops, discussions, and creative activities focused on the environmental and social impact of fast fashion. We learned about greener alternatives such as reusing, repairing, and transforming old clothes into something new, while also exchanging ideas and good practices from our local communities.
The program included interactive workshops, discussions, and creative activities focused on the environmental and social impact of fast fashion. Participants learned about greener alternatives such as reusing, repairing, and transforming old clothes into something new, while also exchanging ideas and good practices from their local communities.
One of the most inspiring parts of the project was the practical upcycling workshop. Participants worked together to redesign and transform old clothing pieces into unique fashion items. Through creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning, they gave new life to garments that would otherwise be thrown away.
At the end of the project, a small fashion show was organized, where participants proudly presented their upcycled creations. The fashion show was not only a fun and creative, but also a powerful reminder that sustainability and self-expression can go hand in hand. The activity created a very positive atmosphere and showed how fashion can be used as a tool for awareness, creativity, and community building.
Besides gaining new knowledge and practical skills, the project also strengthened international cooperation and created new friendships and partnerships among youth workers. The project was a great success, and we are grateful to the organizers and all participants for this inspiring experience.
We are happy to have been part of this meaningful project and look forward to applying the ideas and methods we learned in our future youth work activities.
