Promoting youth employment in sustainable tourism,
2024-2025
Together with organisations from Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia and Turkey, we continue our efforts to strengthen young people's understanding, knowledge and skills in sustainable tourism. The activities of the "Youth Travelling Sustainably" project have been built upon and expanded by the participating young people in the new project "Promoting Youth Employment in Sustainable Tourism".
Tourism in the Mediterranean partner countries is vital for their economies and an important area of employment for young people, but unfortunately it also puts pressure on nature and the environment, often affecting local people, traditional ways of life and cultural heritage.
Therefore, in a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, groups of qualified young people passed on their knowledge of the meaning and principles of sustainable tourism to their peers by carrying out several activities, using the knowledge of sustainable tourism and the creative and entrepreneurial skills they had acquired during their training in Turkey.
Project duration: June 2024 - December 2025
Project partners: Zavod Krog (Slovenia), Civil society development association (Turkey), Developmental Action without Borders (Lebanon), Youth love Egypt foundation (Egypt), Association Tunisienne Awledna (Tunisia)
Project funding: Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
