Local youth actions for positive changes in society, 2021-2022
The project is implemented in Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. Four partner organizations, Institute Circle (Slovenia), LEGIS (Macedonia), Svet in Danava (Serbia) and Platform for the Development of Civil Society (Turkey) joined together to enable young people to actively participate and contribute to the achievement of positive changes that they they themselves want in their immediate and wider society. The project is financed from the program Erasmus+.
At a time when the world is witnessing many negative social trends, such as discrimination, exclusion, climate change, etc., many young people want to engage and contribute to the spread of positive values, such as solidarity, intercultural dialogue, equal opportunities, etc.
This project is therefore an excellent opportunity for young people and youth workers to acquire new skills for better integration into various spheres of social life, as during the project they will participate in training in the field of youth participation and activism, implementation of youth campaigns and active citizenship.
They will also test their new knowledge in practice, as they will have the opportunity to carry out actions and initiatives in their communities under the mentoring of qualified youth workers, which will contribute to positive changes both locally and globally.
The objectives of the project are strengthening the field of youth work, understanding and promotion of common European values such as solidarity, diversity, tolerance and respect for fundamental human rights by young people in all four countries, enhanced participation and active citizenship of young people through the strengthening of civic and social skills of young people and through their activation in local actions and strengthened dialogue between young people and local decision-makers in areas that young people have identified as important.
