"Youth Travel Sustainably", 2024

Project, financed by the  Erasmus+ program of the European Union, brings together organisations from Slovenia, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia and Turkey. In most of these countries tourism accounts for more than 10-15% of their total GDP. In these countries, there are numerous high schools dedicated to tourism and hospitality, thousands of young people studying tourism and aspiring to work in the sector in the future. However, schools usually do not give them enough knowledge about the importance of sustainable development and sustainable tourism, let alone the entrepreneurial and employability skills such as creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, project planning and management, etc., which are needed in today's professional life, including in the tourism sector. The project therefore aims to educate more than 30 young people from the above-mentioned countries about sustainable development in general and sustainable tourism in particular, and to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills, which will be useful for them when thinking and planning projects in the field of sustainable tourism. The aim is to improve their employability skills and increase their job prospects, especially in the field of sustainable tourism. In the long term, the project aims not only to increase the employment of young people in the field of sustainable tourism, but also to develop and promote sustainable tourism products and services designed and proposed by the young people involved.

"Local youth actions for positive changes in society", 2021-2022

The project is implemented in Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. At a time when the world is witnessing many negative social trends, such as discrimination, exclusion, climate change, etc., many young people want to engage and contribute to the spread of positive values, such as solidarity, intercultural dialogue, equal opportunities, etc. This project is therefore an excellent opportunity for young people and youth workers to acquire new skills for better integration into various spheres of social life, as during the project they will participate in training in the field of youth participation and activism, implementation of youth campaigns and active citizenship. They will also test their new knowledge in practice, as they will have the opportunity to carry out actions and initiatives in their communities under the mentoring of qualified youth workers, which will contribute to positive changes both locally and globally. The objectives of the project are strengthening the field of youth work, understanding and promotion of common European values such as solidarity, diversity, tolerance and respect for fundamental human rights by young people in all four countries, enhanced participation and active citizenship of young people through the strengthening of civic and social skills of young people and through their activation in local actions and strengthened dialogue between young people and local decision-makers in areas that young people have identified as important.

"Youth shaping the world", 2022-2023

The project is implemented in Slovenia, Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey within the framework of the program Erasmus+. Four partner organizations, Institute Circle (Slovenia), SOS Children's Villages (Egypt), Development Action without Borders (Lebanon) and Platform for the Development of Civil Society (Turkey) joined together to enable young people to actively participate and contribute to achieving positive changes. which they themselves want in their immediate and wider society.

The Covid-19 epidemic affected all age groups and among the groups that were most affected are certainly young people, because at this age in addition to education, socializing, belonging to a group, personal growth and development of the individual and shaping his or its identity, with mutual relationships being important above all. In addition to the search for oneself and the development of identity, young people are also faced with other problems of a more economic or social nature, such as finding employment and housing. In order to enable young people to speak out about the problems they are facing, young people from all four participating countries will first receive project planning and project management skills during the joint training, which they will further develop in their countries during advocacy and communication training with the media. With this knowledge and skills, young people in each country will design their own projects to draw attention to the problems they face in local and wider communities and, with the help of advocacy and media knowledge, involve decision-makers and the media.

"For her better future - youth for gender equality and equal opportunities", 2022-2023

The project is implemented in Slovenia, Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey within the framework of the program Erasmus+. Four partner organizations, Institute Circle (Slovenia), SOS Children's Villages (Egypt), Development Action without Borders (Lebanon) and Platform for the Development of Civil Society (Turkey) joined together to empower young people in the fight against discrimination and gender-based violence and in the field of striving for gender equality. Both in Slovenia and in the participating countries - Turkey, Lebanon and Egypt - gender based violence has intensified in the shadow of the Covid-19 pandemic. Stereotypical thinking about the social roles of women and men and discrimination against women and girls in many areas are passed down from generation to generation in all countries. The key link in breaking the transmission of these patterns is the youth - while children are too weak to stand up and express their opinions, and the elderly already have ingrained ways of thinking and behaving, the youth are still in the process of forming their identity and values, so they must be included in processes and initiatives aimed at combating violence and discrimination against women and girls. The project will therefore empower groups of young people from the mentioned countries and equip them with methods and tools for awareness-raising, education and defence of women's and girls' rights and gender equality, as well as with knowledge in the field of preventing gender-based violence.

»The Art of Wellbeing«, 2023 – 2024

The Youth exchange project, was implemented in Azerbaijan, brought together four partner organizations - Zavod Krog, Support for youth social development from Azerbaijan, LabPerm from Italy and Youth Empowerment Center from Greece. The project is financed through the Erasmus+ program.

The goals of the Youth exchange "The Art of Wellbeing" are to improve young people's knowledge about mental health, increase their sensitivity and self-reflection about their own psychophysical well-being, and strengthen the use of art-based preventive methods and techniques that they can implement in their everyday life to better cope with stress and increase their resilience. It is important to de-stigmatize mental health among young people, overcome taboos, social pressure and share experiences that, despite our differences, connect us and make us human. In the Youth exchange, participants will be invited to learn about various mindfulness and relaxation techniques that serve to maintain and improve mental health, and we will explore their use in everyday life circumstances. By carrying out this project, young people will gain an in-depth understanding of mental health, artistic methods, and informal methodology. The focus was on improving the key skills and abilities of young people, such as leadership skills, conflict and problem solving, critical and creative thinking, and the development of empathy, emotional intelligence, and sensitivity to oneself.
